Student of Kebangsaan High School Participated in
International Youth Leader Program in Aceh

success on the selection of International Youth Leader Batch 28 in Nanggroe
Aceh Darussalam (NAD). Precisely in Sabang, the zero-kilometer area of
Indonesia. He was the youngest participant and fully funded in this program.
“From hundred applicants all over Indonesia,
there were 15 people who had an opportunity to participate in this community
service activities. I was selected with qualify best essay about potential
creative economy in Aceh,” he explained when interviewed by KBS Media Team via
WhatsApp, Wednesday (6/23/2021).
The event which was held from June 13 until
June 15, 2021, was attended by the best young generation from Indonesia who
ready to dedicate themselves to contribute in remote areas of Indonesia and
brought the new idea to advance the area.
In the activity, the participants were divided into several groups, then presented their respective proposed programs. Ardi’s group with 4 people of his partner who came from Social Welfare Polytechnic Bandung, State Islamic Institute of Manado, State Islamic University of Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, and the Islamic University of Indonesia won an award as The Best Group of IYL because of a social project that plans to bring Aceh to the country of Petrodollars through tourism, culture, language, and regional specialties.
“The best learning that I had is when I met many students from all over the Province of Indonesia. They were the most outstanding student both national and international level,” said the first son from three siblings from Adi Supardi and Maimunah (Alm).
While he was in Aceh, he was also impressed by the culture and hospitality of the people. His attendance with the team was very welcomed. Even their daily needed was also helped by the people.
“We were touched, how beautiful the culture and custom in Aceh Province. They also use regulations with Islamic law in their daily life. We felt like we were in the holy land. No wonder Aceh gets the nickname as the Veranda of Mecca," he said.
The student from Bandar Lampung, who has just occupied the XI class, hopes that the programs which they developed with his team could be realized so the contribution will be optimized. “I hope in the future I can participate more in the events like this to enrich my insights and my experiences,” he concluded.
